Patsy's Cowgirl Cafe, 5001 E. Ben White, Austin, Texas
Western Swing and Western decor combine for our regular Studebakers shows at Patsy's Cowgirl Cafe. We'll be playing and singing tunes from the Great American Songbook in several part harmony, as well as some humorous originals tucked in here and there. Join us for fun music and good food at an early show.
Marilyn will play once more with the Therapy SIsters in the second half of this Farmers' Market concert. The first half will be performed by Las Gabachachas, who will have you dancing around the tomatoes with fruity abandon! Then The Therapy SIsters will help you explore your holiday issues. If weather in inclement, this will not happen! Don't go out in the ice!
Half of the proceeds from sales of the song will go to the wonderful Climate Buddies nonprofit, which is working to fight and ameliorate climate change. C'mon, it's only .99 to help save the world, and you get a good song in the bargain!
Sax and the Suburb, which is now up on Amazon in kindle form and on the Barnes and Noble site on Nook, just won an award from the good people at B.R.A.G. They tell me this means that their readers and editors unanimously approved it as a good read! Woohoo! If you haven't read it yet, it's a mystery novel involving a community band, with a saxophonist sleuth named Miranda trying to solve who's trying to kill her fellow bandmembers! There's some snicker worthy moments, I guarantee it.
