Two bugs in a rug horn duet by Don Denzin and Karyn Lane

Lyrics

Cockroaches in love
We’re gonna go through life together
Cuddlin down in this
Rotten log
If we were birds
We’d be of a feather

But we’re just a couple
Of Wood eating roaches
Living in a decaying tree
And we’ve eaten each others’ wings
Like exchanging rings
And now it’s just you and me

Cockroaches in love
Pair bonded till death do us part
The humans don’t know
We’re emotionally complex and rather smart

So if you see us
Please don’t squish us
Just cause we’re evolutionarily ambitious

We’re in love!
Cockroaches in love
Yeah bugs can love
Cockroaches in love.
