Band: Band: Piano and Vocals: Marilyn Rucker, Bass: Gary Feist, Drums: Masumi Jones,

An actual serious song. Meant to be sung to inspire in times of great tumult when it seems impossible to make a difference.

Lyrics

Sing anyway
Sing anyway
Gloria Munda
Glorious life
Glorious love
Glorious world

Sing anyway
Sing anyway
Gloria Munda
Glorious life
Glorious love
Glorious world

Our days are way too short by far
And our dreams of peace may be
Unreachable within our brief lifetimes
But the work for peace and justice
Is a journey full of gifts
And we can still live lives
With joy deep inside.

And

Sing anyway
Sing anyway
Gloria Munda
Glorious life
Glorious love
Glorious world

Sing anyway
Sing anyway
Gloria Munda
Glorious life
Glorious love
Glorious world

We plant a grove of trees today
For our children’s children’s sake
As our ancestors did for us
We must do too
And you will never feel that shade
But this is a sacred way
To heal the world
And let the world heal you.

Sing anyway
Sing anyway
Gloria Munda
Glorious life
Glorious love
Glorious world

Sing anyway
Sing anyway
Gloria Munda
Glorious life
Glorious love
Glorious world

And if you feel discouraged
By how much work must still be done
To bring a verdant, kinder world to all
Don’t forget to take some comfort
That you walk a holy road
Tune your heart
To hear your human family’s call.

And
Sing anyway
Sing anyway
Gloria Munda
Glorious life
Glorious love
Glorious world

Sing anyway
Sing anyway
Gloria Munda
Glorious life
Glorious love
Glorious world
