Luling is about fifty miles away from Austin, but it's odor travels all the way to our neighborhood on an all too frequent basis.
Lyrics
Luling is here
Its smell of gas
Fills up the atmosphere
Forming a hazy dome
Over the trees and hills of my home.
Luling has a smell
The people living there
Are living in Hell
But now and then a breeze
Will carry their air
Fifty miles in an evil weather cell.
And Luling you are famed
For barbeque and many other lovely things
Of you a hundred splendid cowboy poets sing
But they don’t mention the methane.
(They never mention the methane)
Luling is here
I can’t breathe
And my eyes are full of tears
Tell me, do oil execs ever live near?
I sincerely doubt it, dear
But Luling, Luling, Luling
The smell of you is here. (Instrumental Break) hopefully with violin and maybe a key change up a fourth? Or a half step?
And Luling you are famed
For barbeque and many other lovely things
Of you a hundred splendid cowboy poets sing
But they don’t mention the methane.
They never mention the methane.
Luling please
Consider switching to renewable industries
You’ll breath much better
And then so will we
As we walk outside our homes. (As we try to spread our loam)
Lulling Lulling Lulling
Don’t let your bad air roam.
